10/9 - Shea Stadium - GAME #2
Reds 10, Mets 2 Craig Swan lasted just 1 inning thanks to ineffectiveness and a blister.  Pat Zachry would relieve him and do even worse.  At one point the game was actually close with Cincy holding on to a 3-2 lead after 4 innings of play.  A 4 run outburst in the 5th and a 3 run 8th would put the Mets away for good.  Peaches Davis would go the distance for the Reds and allow just 2 runs on 11 hits, while fanning 5.  Ival Goodman was a single short of hitting for the cycle.  Alex Kampouris' 2 for 4 day netted 4 RBI's.  Goodman had 3 RBI's as did third baseman Lew Riggs.  Both teams had 11 hits, but Cincy made theirs more productive thanks to 4 homers.  Kampouris had 2 of the 4.
Cincinnati leads the series 2-0
